I got a third party controller, and the joysticks are good (for now) but the R2 and L2 triggers are only responsive at the very end. So things like racing games or other ones where you want to be able to only halfway depress the triggers are not easy to play. Is there a way to change the programming or sensing on the triggers?

I tried this and now my ribbon sensor malfunctions. It keeps repeatedly moving into the middle when trying to read discs😢

When I play gta it’ll let me drive the car with R2 it’ll drive slow , but when I go to shoot it’s rendered useless same thing on RdR2 I can shoot certain guns but certain actions that use R2 are rendered useless once again

Method 2 worked excellent! At first I saw one of the controllers charging, then the switch charging, so I thought the switch had to fully charge, but then I tried this and BOOM my joycon was charging, thanks so much!

such a disappointing issue, it's unbelievable that MS are selling a $300 game pad which has a critical design flaw like this, mine lasted 8 months and developed this issue on both bumpers, i pulled it apart and tried all the methods and it kind of fixed it a bit but the issue just comes back, i wish i could just get my $300 back tbh. In all my life ive never once had this issue with a standard gamepad from any console manufacturer.

I love this game so much. Its a hard game but so fun.

Hey I went to that game pad tester website and I found out the problem with my PS5 controller. It’s a piece of junk. It’s A replacement to the original controller that was only eight months old. This controller is only a month old that came from Sony to replace the original controller that had drift in the joysticks. This controller does not respond in any of the games. It works fine getting to the games but once I’m in the game, nothing works. So I’m going to contact Sony again and send it back. What’s the purpose of spending a lot of money on something that keeps breaking. But thanks for your video in providing information regarding the website.

When u want to unplug the switch to the tv does it go back to the normal tv or does make u sign back into the tv because my tv is a Roku I’m not sure if my tv will go back to normal or be different let me know in the comments in the reply section

Awh man thanks!! Fixed my left trigger because of you. I was so confused because I cleaned it all up. Turns out that I had put the magnet in the wrong way and didn’t know that the side with the dimple should face down. Was about to waste $60 on a new controller, you’re a lifesaver!

Trying to do the last step and move the update file over to the game list, but it shows the red circle of denial when I drag it over and it won't update.

I was running into the opposite issue where joycons weren't charging in the controller adapter (no orange glow) plugged it into switch and it connected and started charging.

What if i did damage one of the things that i shouldnt damage?😅

So following your solution 6, I discovered that the conductive film had grease buildup on the right side. I was able to clean it, but the film appears to be a bit damaged on the ∆ button. I was searching for a replacement film but I couldn't find one. I was wondering if you knew where I could buy one. My controller version is bdm-040

Thanks to this video I skip some part of the vid to see him taking apart of the controller and so I did and switch that little white piece and put it to that other and so put everything together and now everything works well and I'm very happy for it and video helped alot. Also during I thought I broke it, so please be careful. It's fine
